Eating Right For Your Hair Type

Many people have a wide range of hair problems some including dry hair, oily or balding hair. Millions of dollars are spent on shampoos,conditioners, and treatments trying to restore hair to optimum health. While these things may help, topical treatments lay over the hair surface coating a covering individual hair problems offering temporary results. Eating a diet rich in healthy foods combined with topical treatment will yield permanent results. Here are three of the most common hair problems affecting both men and women:

Dry hair- Dry hair is brittle and soaks up any moisturizing product. Dry hair needs vitamins B1, B2, B3, & B4, These vitamins can be replaced with food nutrients instead. B1 can be found in bananas, whole grains, & fish, B2 in almonds, & broccoli, B3 mushrooms, & grapes, and B4 in sunflower seeds. Drinking a pure blend of peppermint tea can supply all of the vitamins.

Oily hair-Oily hair tends to look dirty and greasy it is best to avoid saturated fats, taking a magnesium vitamin is good for oily hair. Foods with magnesium are apples, grapefruit, and cashews, or drink rosemary tea which is rich in magnesium.

Balding/ hair loss- is losing hair around the crown for men and for women bald spots around various areas of the scalp. There are many reasons why hair loss effects men and women weather hereditary, improper hair care, or health related here are some general recommendations to aid in slowing down hair loss. Take a B complex vitamin and vitamin E. Vitamin E can be found in spinach, ripe tomatoes,collard greens, and papaya. Vitamin B complex can be found in a variety of seafood, salmon, halibut, shrimps.

Also take minerals copper ,sulfur, zinc. Copper can be found in white potatoes, fruits and vegetables.Sulfur can be found in garlic, onions, and almonds. Zinc can be found in oysters, and beans. Drinking a nettle tea blend will supply all of these nutrients.
